Hi, I'm Stef, and I bake & teach at Sweet Art Bakery, where I specialise in crafting the tastiest wedding cakes I possibly can,  and teaching cake skills to bakers of all ages in my workshops. 

 

It started from a passion for design & detail in theatre and textile, combined with a natural talent for making good tasting cakes! It made sense to turn my hobby into a job I love.

I enjoy the challenge of making something new each time & improving on the last one, and the joy it brings to my customers is very rewarding. But my favourite has to be the reward of teaching others that they can achieve the same, and the sweet therapy it brings for a short time in the process.

 

 I'm absolutely passionate about sharing my love of cake decorating and knowledge with you and my aim is for all of my visitors to have a relaxed and brilliant time, whilst learning some new skills and enjoying some quailty time. And of course enjoying eating my cakes!

What's coming next?

I have recently had a new workshop space made especially for my classes, so I'm excited to start this year off in there.

And I have a new 'Off The Shelf' Wedding  Cake  collection giving speed, simplicity and transparency to ordering your weddding cake, which i'm very excited to offer this year. Wedding planning and budgeting can be quite a stressful and unenjoyable process, so I'd like to think I can help a little bit with my easy 'Off The Shelf' options. 

I am also starting a couple of monthly Clubs this year, in my new workshop space, which will start once we have a few bookings. They will be advertised on my social media platforms and also around Bovey itself. There will be one for 18+ males,  

making things like, pasta, bread, protien bars etc, and one for 14 - 18yrs girls,  with the emphasis on a consistant safe space for chat, and a sense of belonging, to encourage confidence and new skills within a supportive, creative and fun setting. 

 

And the next new thing in planning stages, is my Home Ed classes. These are taking a little while to

organise, as I want them to be as usful as possible but also loads of fun! So, watch this space.. and sign up to my emailing service if you'd like to be kept informed about any of the above.
